Young Women's Empowerment Group Leader
jazzman.brown@cayaclinic.com
My name is Jazzman Brown, and if there's one thing I know for certain, it's that I was always meant to be a voice for the voiceless. Growing up in a small, tight-knit community, I learned early on that change doesn’t come from waiting for others to act—it comes from rolling up your sleeves, stepping up, and standing alongside the people who need it most. This is how I became a grassroots community organizer, driven by my unwavering passion for social justice.

Jamie takes great pride in working with those interested in exploring harm reduction models of treatment to help them remember the amazing person they already are. She believes that abstinence does not define a persons worth in any capacity. Jamie has worked closely with many physicians and providers to better understand the relationship between substance use and trauma, emotional system activation, and catastrophic language that can impact the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Jamie pulls from lived experience and believes that rapport building is at the core of meaningful psychotherapy with positive outcomes. Outside of the clinic, Jamie enjoys her growing family (pregnant with second baby boy), cats, hoop dance, and live music. Jamie’s life and practice are driven by the idea: “Recovery is when you begin loving yourself again.”
